Op 21 november komt Eric Clapton’s album ‘Journeyman’ opnieuw uit.
Er zit blijkbaar geen feestelijk reden achter, want het dateert uit 1989 en er is met de beste wil van de wereld geen rond aantal jaren aan vast te knopen sinds die datum.
De ‘Journeyman: Deluxe Edition’ zal behalve het oorspronkelijke album vier recent herontdekt nummers bevatten.
In de nieuwe liner notes staat over die vier songs onder meer: ‘A few years ago, Clapton was on YouTube, just poking around looking at old footage and songs, and found that fans had uploaded outtakes and bonus cuts of songs from the ‘Journeyman’ sessions. After a search through Clapton’s vaults, these four bonus cuts are now on the album, mixed and mastered anew for this edition.”
Over de title van het album schrijft Clapton in het persbericht: ‘Journeyman … it’s what I want to be known as. I like to think I’m a craftsman. I think I’m always working on mastering my craft.’
Het album komt uit op cd, lp en als stream.
Inmiddels is bonustrack ‘Forever’ te horen.
