Crosby biedt in zijn antwoord niet alleen Young nogmaals zijn verontschuldigingen aan, ook schrijft hij dat ‘That song is what Neil and Stephen en Graham and I should be singing right now every effing night’ en ‘let’s do the right thing and help right now. The country and the people need the help we can give.’

If Neil (Young) calls me up and says, ‘Listen, we’ve got to do some gigs … now that Elizabeth Warren is our candidate we’ve got to do some gigs for her in battleground states, what do you think?’ I’d say, ‘What time does the bus leave? I’d work it out, I don’t care if [Graham] Nash likes me or not. The purpose would exceed all of that.’

This record was made with CSNY. We have made some incredible music together and felt like giving it another round. There’s nothing like the first time. There are a lot of beautiful parts to this record and I am glad we got to make it.”

Zijn laatste zin was een echte cliffhanger: “My favorite song from this album is ‘Stand and Be Counted,’ one of Crosby’s great songs.”
