De Amerikaanse president Donald Trump schrijft dat Boyoncé, Oprah en anderen moeten worden vervolgd.
Zij zouden betaald zijn voor activiteiten tijdens de presidentscampagne van Kamala Harris, in 2024 de kandidate van de Democratische partij.
In een bericht op zijn eigen sociale-mediaplatform Truth Social schreef Trump op 26 juli:
I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), Three Million Dollars for “expenses,” to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING!’

Behalve zijn voorkeur voor het gebruik van hoofdletters valt op dat hij volgens zijn vertrouwde recept nog maar eens de beschuldigingen uit die hij al eerder deed.
Volgens zijn filosofie worden beweringen vanzelf waar, als je ze maar vaak genoeg herhaalt. Voorlopig spreken de feiten hem tegen: want de New York Times onderzocht ze al en concludeerde in november 2024 dat door het campagnefonds van Harris gedane betalingen niet aan artiesten als Beyoncé, Lady Gaga en Katy Perry ten goede kwamen, maar werden uitgegeven aan productiekosten.
