1 + 1 = 3.

Guitar player Chip Wilson was already a member of  singer/guitar player Jesse Moore’s band. When they were relocated next to each other in the Musician’s Village in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, they started performing together regularly again.

Direct results of that are these ten songs, written together and apart, plus Mississippi’s John Hurt’s Ma Belle Creole on this CD financed by fans.

Recording as acoustically as possible with producer Anders Osborne the two stress their blending voices and Chip Wilson’s acoustic guitars, mandoline and banjo. Osborne adds some background vocals, percussion, piano or organ from time to time and Moore occasionally plays bass. The music always serves the mix of folk, blues and singer-songwriter sung both in an enthusiastic and releaxed way by these two veterans. That way they make clear how little you need to make beautiful, honest music.
