De onterecht totaal onbekende formatie Michael Ward with Dogs and Fishes heeft een nieuwe single.
‘Brighter Days’ is een song over de sombere tijden waarin we leven, maar ook over de hoop die er toch altijd weer gloort, of zoals Ward in zijn persbericht schrijft:
‘These are historically challenging times, which have been challenging us more insistently lately, to the point that enveloping darkness takes on the threat of permanence. While these notions can be weirdly satisfying to our narrative sensibilities, they run counter to the inexorable rhythms of history, which have given us an ever widening perspective of our possibilities, and that despite the darkest night, dawns illuminate the day. This tune aims to team up with this beautiful fact and encourage practical hope.’
