Verleden jaar november kwam al de soundtrack van de folkfilm Inside Llewyn Davis uit.
Dat was nog voor de film zelf, die in december in de VS uitkwam. Hij vertelt het verhaal van de New Yorkse folkscene in de jaren zestig met daarin centraal een karakter dat is geïnspireerd op Dave Van Ronk.
Op 13 januari 2015 volgt een livealbum: Another day, another time: the music of Inside Llewyn Davis.
Daarop zijn Jack White, Conor Oberst, Elvis Costello, Joaz Baez, Gillian Welch, The Avett Brothers en anderen te horen.
Het is namelijk een dubbelalbum met 34 songs daarop, die werden opgenomen in september 2013 tijdens een van de promotieconcerten voor de het uitkomen van de film.
